Private Hire of the Austin Osman Spare Room
Given its name for the work of English occultist Austin Osman Spare’s work on view in this area, our ‘Spare’ Room can accommodate a maximum of 15 guests seated and is available to hire for up to 3 hours. There is a minimum bar spend of £250/hour.

In the Wunderkabinett
Seat your guests on deep crimson velvet banquettes around a Sarcophagus (table) containing a human skeleton in the heart of the underground Wunderkabinett, presided over by the caged skeleton of a Lion, a suspended sea monster and a striking painting by Mervyn Peake.
Capacity: Seats 6, or 8 at a pinch
£150 Private Hire Fee.
Available to hire during normal opening hours for 3 hours, up to 10pm. Not available to hire on Saturdays.
Guests will be invited to beer, wine, spirit and mixers from a limited museum menu, or can pre-order a Devil’s Botany Absinthe Tasting at £25pp.

Additional Charges: Setup Time: £150/hour for setup time required prior to Full Venue Private Evening Hire hours Tuesday – Sunday. Outside catering is permitted for full venue private hires. If the caterers will not have staff on site for delivery, set up, service, cleaning, and pick up, the venue will charge a £2.50/pp “foodage” fee to arrange this for you.
