Emily Bronte, Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain: the worlds and people these and other literary giants of the Victorian era conjured are still evocative over 200 years later.
Through five different spirits, spirits expert Millie Milliken will guide you through a talk and tasting that will evoke the characters and settings of some of the 19th century’s most inspiring and vivid pieces of literature. From the bleak beauty of Wuthering Heights’ Yorkshire Moors and its brooding protagonist, Heathcliff; to the lesser-known Australian inspiration for the bitter recluse Miss Havisham in Great Expectations, and more, this evening will be a night of flavour-filled escapism for your imagination.
Tickets: £20 (to include welcome cocktail, talk, and tasting of 5 spirits)
When: Monday 14 April, 6.30pm-9pm
