The museum’s art collection includes old master etchings, Surrealism, Occultist, Outsider and Contemporary art. Artists represented include Leonora Carrington – Anglo-Mexican Surrealist, Tessa Farmer – mistress of The Fairies, Madge Gil – spiritualist, Hendrick Goltzius – the Adoration of The Magi, Alasdair Gray – Glaswegian author of Lanark etc, Mat Humphrey, Grace Pailthorpe & Reuben Mednikoff – perhaps the most important British Surrealists, Lisa Lindquist – Field for The British Isles, Mervyn Peake – author of Gormenghast, Austin Osman Spare, the great Occultist, Stephen Tennant – Lascar, Agostino Venziano – the Witches Rout, John Waters, Stephen Wright – The House of Dreams Museum, Viktor Wynd – creator of the museum.The museum puts on two to three exhibitions a year in the gallery – please see under exhibitions.
