In High Society, Mike Jay explores the spectrum of drug use across the globe and throughout history, from its roots in animal intoxication to its future in designer neurochemicals. Jay's book of the same title is due for release by Thames & Hudson in November and accompanies an exhibition, on which Jay is also working, which opens at Wellcome Collection in London on 11 November.
